Last month a lot of customers came in to join our team of quilters and sewers who want to finish their UFO’s (UnFinished Objects). Some of us promised to finish one project a week others one project a month. We had some that said they can’t start a new project til they finish two UFO’s. So whatever you may want to accomplish, come and get the support of others who are in the same boat as you. There will be people here to help you through your problems. Let us help you complete some of those projects that have been collecting dust.

Don’t forget our quilting day, it is Tuesdays. You can bring what you want to or I have patterns of all levels you can choose from. There is always something to learn and my team is always ready to teach you new things or just practice the old.

Introduction to Machine Quilting will help you feel ready to quilt your quilts. If you want to take your quilting to a higher level, you can then take my level 2 machine quilting class.

Resolution or no resolution, we are here to help you with your projects. So please don’t forget to bring them in to The Quilted Boutique to show them off!

Class description:

Quilting Classes: Tuesdays, there are three classes 12:30-3:00, 3:30-6:00, and 6:30-9:00. You can work on a quilt of your choice or you can pick one of the patterns I have. Come and check it out. You need to bring sewing supplies and a working machine. (if you do not have a portable machine I do have some class room machines that you may reserve.) cost $65.00 per 4 classes plus supplies

Machine Quilting Classes: The 3rd Sat 11:30 and Sun 1pm of each month at.This class is the basic machine quilting class. Where you will learn some fun and quick techniques to get you started so you can practice. cost $30.00 plus supplies

Embroidery Club: There are 3 classes a month to choice from. 2nd and 4th Thursday 12:30-2:30pm. 2nd Saturday 11am-1pm, 3rd Sunday 1pm-3pm. Every month you will learn a new technique. $10.00 plus kit

Basic Crochet: I will teach you the three basic stitches single, double and triple crochets. 1st Saturday 12 noon, 3rd Wednesday 1pm-3pm and 6:30pm-8:30pm. cost $ 25.00 plus supplies

Purse Club: You will learn a new purse every month. There are 2 classes to choose from 1st and 3rd Monday at 2:30pm. Cost $30.00 plus supplies.

Felting classes: I will be teaching different types of felting (hand,needle,wet,dry,and machine). Choose from 1st and 3rd Thursday and 3rd Saturday of the month.

Keep an eye out for any additional classes that may be added. If there is something that you would want to learn please let me know. We will be happy to add it. I will also be starting classes on using the long arm machine. Watch the web site, Facebook and calendar.

I will be doing a 3 month news letter for the year 2016. It will contain class schds, special days, events, and updates. I will be sending out emails on updates of things that happen after the news letter is out. I have big plans for the shop so expect a great ride for the year to come.

“The Quilted Boutique” an extension of “Creative Dolls & Quilts” is one of Albany’s best kept secrets. It is a shop located at 4 Vly Rd , Colonie, NY. We are a quilting store and sewing supply store carrying everything you might need for any sewing project.

I have a handmade area in the shop for designers from all around the USA. Please stop by and see all the fun things we have to offer.

I am also working on getting Lyn Slade who is a very well known felter and author to come and teach us how to take a picture and felt it to a work of art. Date to be set.

Classes will run the same time every month.

Quilting classes are Tuesday’s 1pm-3pm or 6:30-8:30. $75 for 4 classes.
Embroidery club will run 2nd & 4th Thursday at 12:30-2pm or 6:30-8pm and every 2nd Saturday 10am-11:30 or 2:30-4pm. There will be kits starting at $10.
Basic Machine Quilting will run 2nd Sunday at 1pm. $30 all supplies are included.
Advance Machine Quilting will run 4th Sunday at 2pm. $40 and you will need a small wall hanging to work on (basic).
Basic Felting classes will be held the 1st Wednesday at 1pm-3pm FYI the advance and machine felting will be added. $40 supplies are included.
Hand Quilting Class Wednesday Feb 10 at 1pm $20 plus kit.
Open sew bring your ufo’s to work on and finish them. (our new years resolution) Lets work on them together dates are wed january 13,27 feb 17,24 mar 16,23,30 12noon $10.
Friday Feb 12 at starting at 12noon to 4pm and Sat Feb 13 11am-3pm there will be a valentine make it take it. So stop on by and have some fun.

Of course the big sale of the year is Super Bowl Sunday. But I’m going to run it Thursday February 4 thru Sunday February 7, 2016.

If there is a class you want that is not listed, please contact me and I will do my best to add the class for you. You must pre register for all classes. You can come join us at embroidery club with any machine or if you don’t have one you can come and use ours ( but you do need to come and take a class on the machine before the emb. class).

The monthly Specials:
January 30 5″ for $1.00 instead of 20
February all emb cards and discs are on sale for $15-$25 each
March all green fabric on sale for $4.00 a yard (1 yd min)

We will be closed Palm Sunday, March 20 and Easter Sunday, March 27.
